This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Scouting in Wales at a senior level. Field Commissioner appointments have a diverse brief, but principally include supporting the management of Scouting, advising on and promoting Association policy, working on ScoutsWales initiatives, maintaining relationships with Local Authorities and representing ScoutsWales on external bodies.
You will have a background in Scouting or Guiding, preferably at Area/County or District level. Experience of working with volunteers, good communications skills and the ability to manage your own workload are essential. Experience of youth work or education is an advantage, as is the ability to speak Welsh. You will be required to work from home and have access to your own transport (for which expenses are paid) as extensive travel is necessary, often at evenings and weekends.
