Family Support Worker Vacancy with Denbighshire Home-Start

Denbighshire Home-Start requires A FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER Working to an established Scheme Manager Salary £ 17,333 pro rata (NJC point 18) Fixed term contract until October 2015.
Home-Start is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under 11 years of age. Volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to families under stress in their own homes helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown.

The Trustees are seeking to employ a Family Support Worker, whose main focus will be on providing a rapid response to families in immediate need and helping towards the continuous development of the scheme in Denbighshire.

Parenting experience and an understanding of the needs of families is an essential requirement for this post. Childcare qualifications and family support experience are desirable to this post. The ability to speak Welsh would be advantageous.

You will be required to work 18.5 hours per week, including some lunch time and evening work. Occasional out of office hours work, so flexibility is required. Own transport essential, for which expenses are paid.

Job description
Role of an Accommodation Cleaner
Location: HavenHolidayPark
Reports to: Cleaning Supervisor / Accommodation Manager
Purpose of role: The success of the accommodation cleaner role will be to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness within the accommodation & deliver the accommodation to the guests on time as per checklists & training provided. You will be required to, whilst ensuring effective communication with your supervisor, comply with all company health & safety, best practices & legal requirements. In addition you will need to be guest focused & provide a first class service at all times. You will also be an organised, professional and reliable individual demonstrating an ability to work on your own initiative and able to work flexible hours.
Responsible for: Guest satisfaction, cleaning materials & equipment, accommodation keys, health & safety of self & others.
Key Responsibilities: Accommodation:
· To clean accommodation to the high standard as shown in training and demonstration.
· To make beds with appropriate bedding where applicable.
· To present each accommodation to the high standard shown in training and demonstration
· To record on check sheets provided, any maintenance and/or inventory requirements.
· Any accommodation that has been left damaged and/or in such a mess that the normal cleaning time will not be enough, report to your supervisor immediately.
· To ensure the accommodation is ready at the expected time.
Other Responsibilities:
Guest Service
· Ensuring guests are attended to promptly, in a pleasant & professional manner.
· To be guest focused & provide a first class service to all of our guests.
Health & Safety
· Ensuring all chemical & cleaning materials issued are stored safely & used within COSHH guidelines.
· Reporting & recording all potential accidents & incidents.
· Ensuring all internal & statuary obligations are met.
· Complying with Park rules & regulations at all times.
Management
· Liaising with the Cleaning Supervisor to ensure business objectives & priorities are met.
· Making sure all lost property is returned & logged with your Supervisor.
· Checking tasks & responsibilities are performed to the agreed standard required.
· Report any maintenance & inventory requirements in accommodation using checklists provided.
· Complete a ‘maid card’ per accommodation cleaned & leave in accommodation. Sign your name to show you have cleaned the accommodation to a high standard.
· Ensure all cleaning chemicals are used as per you’re your training & demonstration on how to use them. Remember to minimize use with costs in mind, e.g. do not overspray a product, only use as necessary.
Team Work
· Attending & participating in all relevant internal & external meetings in connection with the responsibilities of the position.
· Maintaining a good working relationship with your supervisor/manager & fellow working colleagues.
· Communicating with fellow team members professionally at all times.
Team Support
· In addition to your normal duties you may be required to assist with duties that are not directly linked to your job description but commensurate with your position & in accordance with the job purpose from time to time. Your co operation will always be appreciated but not abused.
