Vacancies with The North Wales Women’s Centre

The North Wales Women’s Centre in Rhyl aims to provide a safe place for the multi provision of information, support, advocacy, training and referral on issues relating to work, health and well-being. The centre now has the opportunity to recruit the following positions:

Family Resilience Support Worker (Domestic Abuse)

Salary: £21,000 p.a. pro rata for 21 hours per week

Fixed term post to March 2015

To provide support to families where domestic violence has arisen; the purpose of the support is to minimise the impacts of abuse and empower families to be independent, self-reliant and have positive future aspirations.

Information and Support Worker

Salary: £20,000 p.a. full time (35 hours per week)

Fixed term post to March 2017

To be responsible for a caseload of women for whom you will assess needs and coordinate a programme of support and activities in order to promote their development.

As this post involves substantial access to vulnerable adults, it has been denoted as one that comes within the terms of the Exceptions Order under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and any offer of employment will be made subject to the results of a Disclosure from the Disclosure Barring Service. This Disclosure will reveal details spent and unspent convictions as well as cautions, warnings and reprimands.
